Members Speak

When asked: “As a DAR member, if you stepped into an elevator
and someone inquired about the DAR insignia on your lapel, and you had just 30 seconds
to tell your DAR story to pique their interest -- what would you say?”

Here’s what two of our members said:

“Since 1896 this insignia has represented an organization of God loving, flag waving women who are the Daughters of the American Revolution. We have a passion to preserve the freedoms established by our founding fathers. Our monthly meetings honor this great country of ours, and every time we come together, our hearts are stirred to remember our veterans and serve our country. Take my card and become part of the American spirit by joining the DAR.”

- Carol Zimmerman

“This pin represents being a member of our patriotic organization, Daughters of the American Revolution. We love and support the basic principles of our founding fathers.
If you enjoy history, you could research your ancestor’s part in the Revolutionary War.
Then you would be eligible to become a member, too.”

- Barbara Stevens
